Argument

I bafflingly agreed to restrict my music purchases over a 1-year time frame (starting mid-May 2008), in accordance with the following rules:

• 1 CD per week (or 52 CDs total, whichever comes first).

• Any CD counts, no matter the price, the content or the path of entry into the home. CD single = 1 CD. Free promo CD = 1 CD. Gift CD = 1 CD. Spoken word CD = 1 CD. 1 CD = 1 CD = 1 CD.

• Digital purchases/acquisitions (online, etc.) are unlimited.

• Vinyl was NOT discussed (whew; holy loophole!).

Ongoing entries will (ideally) chart this experiment's progress & effects, for anyone who can be bothered to follow along. Hello, internet.
